Because you enjoy what it pays maybe?
Thats the only reason i ever worked. Found where my megre skills would provide the best payout and did that. Never ever did a job because i enjoyed it. I've only ever worked for pay.

Back to the orginal question If you feel like you're ready do it. But just remember if it goes wrong half those guitars she's promising (and half the ones you now own) will be hers! (She'll probably let you keep the xbox). (Married for 30+ years - now divorced for 1)

Sounds like we really should open Driftwood Guitars.

God, why do I do what I do? I hate it.

Maybe and maybe not.

I've enjoyed the writings of Hunter S Thompson from a tender age. Speaking about what a chore he found writing to be he came out with this expression (please excuse the vernacular): "Old whores don't do much giggling."

In other words, if you do for money what other people do for fun it is sometimes apt to lose its charm.

...But I still think Driftwood Guitars would be neat. I'm working on the menus already.

Anyone remind me what the heck this thread was originally all about?

It was about should some guy get married for a room full of guitars or something.

On that 'have a room full of guitars when we get wed' promise. You can bet it comes with the 'as long as i can have whatever i want' proviso.

If you gotta ask dont do it. Had one it went bad, got divorced. Its a harder thing to go through than the death of a loved one, in many ways. The house it cost me was chicken feed to be rid of her. The one I've got now is great, couldnt live without her.

Women are very much like guitars. You can think its great for the first 6 months then hate the sight of it. You can think another is a old wreck and be smitten in no time at all.

Sounds good, I'd do it. As long as she understands that guitars come first! ( Just kidding, honey!) :D

Hi Radiohead: I got married for the first (and only) time at 40. It was the best thing I ever did - but that was for somewhat better reasons than games boxes and guitars.

Personally, I am allergic to weddings. Both of mine made me seriously ill for years....

I knew a guy once who proposed to his girlfriend, and as they were attempting to set a date he suggested one and she said "we can't do it then, that's the first weekend of deer season and I wouldn't want you to miss that". he knew then that he had hit the jackpot.

When it is right, you will know it. You won't have to ask idiots like me.

Why is the bride always smiling as she gets in the limo after her wedding?
