R.I.P I just saw it on news at eleven. Hard to believe she was 72. I have to say she was some Doll when she was young. Boy the reaper just keeps grabbing up the famous .I really have never seen a year like this one and theres more than 3 months to go.

ps - there is a DVD out called " Festival" about the Newport Jazz festival in the early 60's. Peter, Paul & Mary are showcased along with Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and others. It really captures that period beautifully and the music ..... :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

As PP&M aged, Peter and Paul became far better guitar players. Their clean, intricate playing blew me away when I heard them play on TV in more recent years.

Mary also gave generously of her time, talents, and efforts for many different pro-social causes. She was a lovely human being. Musically, many parts of my early life involved PP&M. I remember as young boy hearing Puff The Magic Dragon. I remember as a teenager in the 80's listening to her music with my frist girlfriend. She will be missed.

I was lucky to have seen them in Concord, California back in the mid 80's. What a great performer she was. Another favorite gone. RIP Mary Travers.

Thanks for the link Mike. Boy, that brings back some memories. I think I could play every note of every song PP&M played. I also memorized every word of "Paultalk" and yes, of course I was in love with Mary Travers - What a voice!!

R.I.P. Mary.
