The Boston Strangler was left-handed. I'm not saying all lefties are evil, but I don't think we need to take the chance of providing any of them a blunt instrument.

It's amazing, but there does seem to be some lingering predjudice against lefties out there. I used to work at a hotel front desk a few years ago. I remember one day I was writing something down (with my left hand, of course) when a guy came up to me and gave me a very stern look. He then said, "you know, in midieval times, left-handedness was a sign of the devil!" and then just walked away. He likely was just screwing around with me, but I couldn't really tell for sure!

As for a lefty-only giveaway, it would sure be nice, but I wouldn't count on it. Why would Fender have a promotion that 90% of their customers wouldn't care about. On the OTHER hand (no pun intended), it would be cool if Fender offered contest winners a lefty guitar option, should one of us southpaws be lucky enough to win...

lefties are cool, it's fun to watch them write.

Poor hand all scrunched up and turned around, trying to push their hand across the page and pull the words at the same time.

You can't write comedy like that.
