I know they're heavy. You'll have to come up with something better than that. And don't even try to badmouth Peavey USA, as I already own a T-60, Fury I bass, and a Predator Strat, and bought my daughter a Foundation bass.

Looks good. My Dad got his '79 T-40 for $100 from a Pawn Shop, but it was fairly beat up. It's so heavy that I couldn't play it live without dying, but it sounds great and I use it to record sometimes. We got my '79 T-60, also $100, from the same Pawn Shop. It's in mint condition and I really like it too. Trouble is, the bridge pickup only works on the single coil setting, it doesn't work as a humbucker. Finding a replacement pickup is going to be very hard since it's the older toaster style.
