Oh good question indeed. +1 to cc and kong btw. And another +1 to all the wish you were here. But if it were chord riffs and chord riffs alone it's gotta be nutshell by alice in chains, i'd recommend to any newbees, will get those g shaped add9s etc nailed in, queen's spread your wings, cuz it shows the beautiful tragedy o mixing minor with major, and one o the first i ever learned and it's so simple yet so precise, Double Talkin Jive by gnr. Oh, and dream on by aerosmith. The hardest song to learn when i was startin out, but it trains fingers to go where you'd not expect
