That's why you have choices for different tastes. I like Les Pauls and 335's. But one of my favorites is a 57 Dano that was found in the trash by a friend. Very cool sounding guitar. It's seriously relic'd

i have a gibson les paul and i find it too heavy and uncomfortable. It DOES sound good though.

Another thing is theres too much confliction over there! they recently had a thread called "Buckethead signiture?" and LOADS of people just started just giving abuse of how much they loved/hate him (Even one of the mods was shouting agressively at the members who liked buckethead) It was mad!

Thats why i like it here, theres nothing but peace and love!

(Although it would be nice if we could use our own avatars....)

Some of the late 70's and 80's Strats weighed as much as an LP. LOL

Major crash on the Gibson forums yesterday. Pretty much all posts since June 15th have been wiped out along with post counts. Man that sucks. I just hope something like that doesn't happen here.

I tried chatting a couple of times on that board but i noticed alot of immature people and while i dont generalize all Gibson players by the lot that hangs out in those forums i have to say it wasnt my preferred place.

Thankfully, these boards seem to have alot more mature, friendly people who readily give advice and seem to be very well learned about their instruments.

If you look around im sure there's plenty of good people there, but i also seen alot of eyebrow raising posts that made me thankful Fender is my brand of choice.

for the record, there is one Gibson id like, a Firebird standard :)
