Well i haven't had any pet damage but my 3 yr old daughter did have alot of fun with a magic marker once and drew all over an acoustic i have. Luckly it came off but i had to scrub very hard to get it off. I still keep it in the stand but she knows not to bother it now unless i say she can and that's only a strum every now and then.

Not my guitar, but one of my Australian Shepherds ate the bridge for my banjo last year as I was changing the strings.

My wife said it's because the dog was going through her "terrible chews".
