hey i was wondering if any of you guys have or have used a roland micro cube amp? do you like it?

i'm probably gonna get it with my first electric (i have an acoustic right now)

i need something thats somewhat versatile, small, portable, has a headphone jack, and is quite so my mom (or sister) won't kill me. i think it sounds good for the price and fits my requirments.

i love fender and marshall amps but there doesn't seem to be any that fit my requirements as well as the micro cube.

thanks

I have one and I love it, I use it for all kinds of things, travel (I am in the USAF so i spend time in lots of dorms and hotel rooms), take to my GF's house, or even for late night jamming! The on board effects are awesome and it can even get pretty loud for a little bugger! Hope this helps!

yea it does but i forgot to ask: does it have an ac adapter? i mean so i don't have to exclusively use batteries- it gets expensive!

Love my Cube. It is my camping amp. Six AA batteries and the thing runs forever. Aux in jack to plug the ipod full of jam tracks and I am in heaven in the woods. It will run off the standard Boss/Roland transformer that runs boss pedals. Definately a keeper. At halloween I put a guitar strap on it and dress up like a rockstar and walk through the neighborhood jammin' out!

I got mine from a local music store in Biloxi, Mississippi and it came with the ac adaptor, I've never used it on battery power alone but can't wait to get it out in the wilderness!

I'm very happy with my Vox DA-5. It's the same size at the Cube, and cost $139 at G.C. You can switch between a .5, 1.5, and 5W output, plug it in or run it on 6 C batteries, and it's got line-in and headphone jacks. For a little guy, it really puts out some volume if you want it to, and has a bunch of models and effects as well.

Get two sets of rechargeable batts. and you'll stay in business-and you'll have more change for new strings or whatever...

I don't own one, but the reviews that I've read all say it's a great little amp. I do have a Roland DB-500 bass amp, and I love it! It really booms. I play my strat through it sometimes, and I get incredible sounds with it with 4 string and 6 string.

I used to have a Pignose that ran on batteries. Played it for a long time. You can get a lot of pretty good sound out of one of those little battery powered amps.
