'Cream of Clapton' is a good compilation of Clapton's work with Cream AND his solo stuff, if you're interested in just getting a one-disk collection.

Layla is an album I would have to have if I was to be left on an island for a few years and could only have five. The guitar playing is off the chart and every song is a gem. When they say classic album that is what they mean. It is a guitar orgy with some of the greatest fills ever. It is a dictionary of guitar fills,leads,slide oh man I am going to put it on.

If you don't yet :wink: own the 20th Anniversary Box Set that's something to look for.

Check out "From The Cradle"

And you must get Derek & the Dominos-Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs wich is IMO the best Claptin album of all times.
