Can anyone recommend any good acoustics (Prefrable elcetro-acoustic) with a really low action and a small body, like a thinline.

I love my electrics but i need an acoustic (And im not a big fan of the acoustic modlers) and id like it to play like an electric.

I've played a Sonoran which sounded good through an amp but the body is more along the lines of trad dreadnought size.

My Montara has a nice convex back making it slimmer in the body dept, plus the Strat neck/headstock give it a nice elec feel. But the original pickup system was prehistoric in that the battery access was through the soundhole, something I've since updated.

The Montara has a great feel but since they've been out of production since '91 (that's all I could find out) they're pretty hard to come by. Evil-bay is the only place I've seen them. A friend of mine here liked mine so much he found one on there and snagged it for $200, and than he spent another $100 on the pickup system. It's one of his main toys now.

Probably doesn't help much, it's all I know.

Might get a better response in the "all other guitars forum"
http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... um.php?f=8

You did not say if you wanted to stay with fender for an acoustic or not.
Relatively cheap I just bought the Fender CD-60ce acoustic, with electronics and was considering a Fender Sonoran

Both have built in tuner and pickup/preamp, cd-60ce came with a hard case, useful for my use as a camping guitar.

Action is higher than an all electric as the strings are heavier on the acoustics.
I'm using .012-.053 D'Addario phosphor bronze acoustic strings on it. Can't even feel the .010 strings on the strat after playing the acoustic for a while. Great way to toughen up your calouses

Ah yes gretchs are cool but they are all Jazz acoustics rather then a traditional acoustics with the one sound hole. The same with the gibson electronic spanish's. (Besides i have two vintage Epiphone rivieras, which are very simular to the 335s)

By thinline i meant a bit like the line 6 variax acoustics

Check out the Carvin Thin body acoustics. They have all sorts of pick up variations or you can go straight acoustic. I've had one for years, it's an active pick up and sounds great. Also, you can build them custom, as far as finish.
