Well its September. Summer is coming to an end. :(
Just another off topic question,
What do you guys do to prepare for the change of weather?
Yes I am very bored at the moment and seems like a good question to ask.

I am bored too. Well first of all, I make sure I am well defended enough to prepare myself for anyone asking about how they're preparing for the weather... oh wait... D'OH!!!

P.S. I put on longer sleeves.

Right now, I'm getting enough firewood to last me the winter. Also.....I have to fill in driveway cracks for when the temps get below freezing.

It's still 95 degrees outside, and I've seen several Christmases where it hit at least 80. So really, as far as getting ready for winter is concerned, we do nothing.

Try and build up enough courage to face the dreaded raking of leaves. :[

Time to get the comforter and heavy blanket back on the bed. As the tap water runs colder the layers of clothing increase. It's great to be outdoors for hours at a clip and notice the time.

The weather doesn't get me, but I'll tell ya' something else that does:

I'm nearly two decades out of college, and I still feel that melancholy at this time of year, that I felt for the seventeen years that September meant "back to school."

I'm in my current career for nearly seventeen years, and that feeling still hasn't left me. I may be one of the exceptions, with a university degree, that doesn't think formal education is the answer to all life's problems. :?:

So, you know, I just try to put it behind me...

I like the spring! :!:

Wear warmer clothes and prepare for cold hands and feet. And stock up on hand lotion. 8)

Paint the shed and touch up some trim, seal the drive, clean and seal the deck.

Have fun with the leaves and be thankful and in awe for the miracle which is the progression of seasons. Do some photography and maybe painting thereof.

Watch the smile on the dog's face as the weather gets more "breed-appropriate." Start thinking of playing seasonal (...marvelous night for a moondance, 'neath the stars of the October skies...) and Christmas music for home and in church.

What is "bored" and what does it mean? 'Cannot remember experiencing anything like it, in multiple decades...?. 'Must be a very sad and frightening experience....

I just turn off the air conditioning and get the space heater out for the occasional chilly morning.

Maybe stare out window and yell at leaves about to fall off trees.
We blow them into flower(weed) beds for the winter and get rid of them in spring if necessary.
When it gets cool enough turn on furnace and fireplace.
Service summer lawn equipment and get snow thrower ready.

Pack kayaks away when ice starts to form on the rivers & lakes.

Get ticked off trying to find 17 inch steel rims for snow tires on the jeep again, all we can seem to find are really expensive aluminum rims for it here. Suspect conspiracy to keep me broke.
