As you can see from JSJH's thread, I thought of a Telestrat design.

Since Tele players don't like the fact that Strats have a middle pickup and a volume control in the way of the strumming hand, how about this:

-Tele looks
-Strat Cutaways
-Master volume and dedicated tone controls (see below)
-5-way switch
-Three pickups like on the Strat, only the middle pickup is over-wound but set extremely low so as not to interfere with playing
-Pick guard that houses all of the electronics, but the controls are set far away from the pickups
-The bridge pickup is mounted on a steel plate, but the pick guard is created in such a way so that it 'catches' the bridge pickup when it is removed

What do you think? Someone want to build it for me cause I don't have the time or skills...or incentive, for that matter.

It surprises me that Fender hasn't thought of something like this...or have they?

Hmm... close but no cigar.

Nice guitar though.

It's a monstrosity! Make it go away!

It's like sticking the front half of a Ferrari on the back end of an F150. Great vehicles, both, but should they be combined? Probably not.

YES! They should be combined. I would like it that way. I guess I'm just open to new guitar innovations than you guys. :)
