Going to a friend's house to jam together for the first time on Saturday. It has been a while since I jammed with someone. Doing the lawn Sunday and nothing on Labor Day.

Not much - just relaxing.

We will be stopping in at the Northfield Labor Day Celebration - an annual event held in town, on the Common of course. Lots of music, games, things to eat, and of course stuff to buy!

There's a 5K Run and a 1-Mile Run for kids.

There's a Classic Car Show on Sunday, and the winner gets to be in the big parade on Monday.

Everyone should have a good weekend.

There is a local winery, Arrington, that is part owned by Kix Brooks of Brook and Dunn. They have a great setting and a huge lawn. They usually have a jazz band or something playing.

This weekend, Loggins and Messina are going to be there in concert. So it's a nice picnic basket, some good wine, and Loggins and Messina outdoors (plus whoever else might show up since Jim Messina has played with half of Nashville)!

Nice TC, that sounds like a great time! Enjoy!

Thanks, Mike.
It was a great show. Those guys sound just as good as they did 30 years ago. And Jim Messina has always been an underrated guitarist. He's not flashy - but man that guy can play!

Was using a black strat with Lace Sensors (and a mandolin!). Great strat sound the whole show.

Jim Messina's one of my favorites! Glad you saw a great show!

Went north to visit the family. They all get together for a big cookout on major holidays and I can catch everybody at one time. I missed my guitars, though.

What I did on my labor day holiday....
Friday- Lincoln Brewster concert...awesome Christian guitar player/ song writer... Wails on a custom shop 57 reissue reliced of course...

Saturday- Pressure washed Parent's deck prepping for stain. Imagined I was watching Loggins and Messina at the winery..put em on the CD player.. :)

Sunday-Big celebration and Lunch on the lawn at Church. Played with both praise bands. Recharged and ready to play some more.

Monday- The big Stain event backed up with a 4 piece band of fellow painters. Equipped with some Korean budget grade brushes and a throw away stand up roller...the deck is stained and my back is strained but I'm happy because Mom and Dad are pleased with their deck.

I hope everyone had a great Labor day weekend I did.
