I'm a 3D animator, working mostly in the biomedical field these days. I know entirely too much about the diffusion of ions across lipid membranes... or at least how to produce moodily-lit, punchy animations of them... heh.

I work for the Learning Skills and Improvement Service which is the sector body for further education (14 - 19) in England. I'm an administrator, which covers some of the day to day management of several programmes such as Healthy FE from the Department of Health as well as national awards such as Beacon status and STAR awards and also work with some of th bigger education providers like Tribal, Nord Anglia and LSN.

Also for those who may be interested, the Department of Health ironically does actually look like an NHS outpatients on the inside - unbelievable!

I am the facilities engineer and property manager for a large trucking company.

I am also a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander, Civil Engineer Corps. Spent a total of 22 years in the service. Started out enlisted in the cryptography arena, then finished my engineering degree and picked up a commission. Spent the rest of my time running military construction projects, Public Works operations (think city engineer), and out playing with the SeaBees.

I am a scenic carpenter - I build movie sets. Mostly it's boring but sometimes it's quite fun - like helping Halle Berry up a ladder to one of our sets. I didn't wash my hand for about a year! Been doing it since 1980. Before that I built houses.

This may irk some people, but I play guitar for a living. :D

Last weekend I was recording in Delmark Records studio, the same studio room that Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, and all kinds of cool people have recorded in. It was a pleasure and a privilege.

Mostly I do session work while "s-l-o-w-l-y" gathering the players I need for my own group. I also teach when I have to.

(yes I wake up each day glad and happy to be a musician. I don't know how you guys deal with the "real world." It's crazy out there.)
Now thats my dream job. :)
