Could you put a Fender neck (Strat, doesn't have to be a real fender) in an LP body (forgot to add in building a guitar topic) and could you put a Strat neck in a Tele

Strat neck in a LP body? Sure, luthiers can do anything when it comes to wood.

Strat neck in a tele? Yep, it'll fit, just as soon as you shave some wood from the end of the neck, or from the neck pocket from the tele (which would probably be alot easier). Tele necks can fit on a strat, but a strat neck is more rounded, causing it to stick out mor. While the tele necks end is obviously flatter.

I guess you could but why? I mean the LP has a set neck, meaning the neck extends into the body of the guitar. The Strat has a bolt on neck. You'd have to fill the cavity the LP neck would fit into, then route out a place to fit the Strat neck and bolt it on. It wouldn't sound like a LP anymore.

It could be done but you would be better off buying a Warmoth body and getting a Specific Fender replica neck for it.

Remember there is also a scale difference as well. 24 3/4" versus 25 1/2" in on a Fender. This will effecy alot of other things, like where the bridge goes in realtion to the last frett and so on and on and on and on. Its actually more complicated than it sounds.
