I was looking at overdrive/fuzz pedals, and I was wondering which was the greatest fuzz pedal for the money.

Anyone know anything about the Cool Cat Fuzz? Also, I think the Dunlop fuzzes just got overpriced. I've also been looking at the Octavefuzz...

I've been using and really like the Keeley Fuzz Head pedal.

I'm just a beginner myself but once I get down the fundamentals I'd like to purchase a Swollen Pickle Fuzz by Way Huge Electronics. I've heard it used and I like what I'm hearing. 8)

I use a burford mosquito and a brit face. £70 a pop and 70 times better sounding than anything else out there. All built by my mate.
Billy Gibbons buys off him too.

Your wasting your time with dunlop fuzz faces. Even hendrix got fed up with em and moved onto mayers pedals

I never said I wanted one. They're overpriced now. But thanks for the links, guys.

I don't have the Cool Cat Fuzz but I have the Cool Cat Drive and Distortion pedals and they are both great pedals. I also use the Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde. It is 2 pedals in one. A distortion and overdrive. I like all 3. For the money, the Cool Cat line is great and I recommend them for your consideration.

I said 'best fuzz for the value,' not the 'spend-so-much-on-one-thing-to-sound-like-some-guy-when-I-could-be-getting-a-high-end-Squier' pedal!!

GOSH!!

I have a Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive. Great pedal at any price but the price is great too. I don't own a fuzz, but use a Marshall distortion pedal sometimes. Both work great with all my guitars through my Super Champ XD amp.

VG Strat
Hwy One Strat
Epi Les Paul Custom
Epi Les Paul 56 Goldtop reissue
Super Champ XD amp (amazing amp by the way!)

Right now the only pedal i even hook up occasionally is my old 80's TS 808 tubescreamer. It's not a fuzz pedal, just a boost. I used to have a fuzz face years ago, but someone jacked it and i haven't replaced it. is there a frugally priced alternative? I probably wouldn't use it too often, but it'd be nice to have. No need for a full on distortion pedal, I think I have my old Boss heavy metal one in a box somewhere.

I guess I have a POD 2.0 so there's all that, but I haven't plugged it in in years, since I lived in a basement suite for a few months.
