A Jonny Greenwood tribute relic Tele Plus...

I'm not into signature guitars as such, but that would fly off the racks.

Has there ever been a relic David Gilmour #00001 Strat? There should be.

As Big Jay was mentioning on another thread, Keith Richards seems over due for a Sig '50s Tele.

Me.

Well Martian, given all the amazing and painstaking circuitry advice that you've given out and from which we've all benefited - I'd agree with that.

I believe you recently told us what that Martian Sig might be like, under the hood at any rate. Not bad!

Is Jimmy Page part Asain? I've seen some of his recent pics, and boy the older he gets the more Asian he looks. Anyone know?
I think it would be interesting to see a Jimmy Page Tele sig, but IMO Jimmy Page was not as good guitar player as Clapton and Beck in the Yardbirds. This was the time Page mainly used the Fender Tele. He had some really bad solos, almost un page like guitar playing. Very horrid indeed.

Check this solo out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTO7WVxjz3A

Because during the yardbirds he wasn't anywhere near his prime.

The Page Dragon Tele without a doubt as all of Zep one was recorded with it and it shows how hard a tele could rock. The only problem is I would bet anything that it would be one of those custom shop only 100 made and relicd.

Yes! I agree with your agreement of my original statement. I agree with myself.

Richards is overdue for such an honor. I find it hard to believe, however, that the idea hasnt occured to anybody at Fender. He and the Stones have done more for rocknroll than almost anybody else. Richards could be the quintessential (spelling?) Fender or Tele player.

Of course, we could say the same thing about Townsend.

I think my next project will be a kickass Tele. Vintage all the way.

Looking forward to that tele project BigJay! 8)

Gotta say, that was one of the few pictures I could find of Keef with his Tele that didn't make you want to run away screaming! How that man looks on stage these days may go some way to explaining why Fender wouldn't necessarily consider it an endorsement that would sell their product... :?
