I cried like a baby the day John died. I was lucky enough to go to the memorial in Central Park. Almost a million people gathered together. Probably the most moving experience of my life. I still get weepy when I hear Imagine.

Under-rated guitar player. Wrote a lot of great riffs, from I Feel Fine to Daytripper to Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds to Come Together. Slammed his own playing for "double off beats" and ceded leads to George Harrison who could play flawlessly. Everything recorded live and then live performances make Lennon diss himself but the man was a creative composer using guitar for those memorable Beatles riffs. I Feel Fine is one of my favorite Beatles songs, and Lennon was real proud of the feedback he got on it which he says is a first. Man wrote great songs, and great guitar riffs.
