Yeah I'm ok. Bands struggling a bit, unreliability and personal stuff from a few people, but alls good their.
Works slowly picking up this side of the river, hows it going over your way?

BTW i'm not joking. Even SKB cases dont get a look in with me now.

I recently went nuts and bought a load of equipment (see below!) and am just gettin used to it. Me and the drummer from my old band are writing again but need a bassist.
Split up wi the missus so Izzy Stradlin, tonic wine and a Telecoustic are pulling me through thank god!

It's like a $@!& country song!

This guy?
http://www.mattschofield.com/history.php

Never heard of him

Honestly my claims that i haven't bought any new music since i discovered beer (around 86/87) are no exaggeration. I simply cant be bothered with new artists. Its some kind of mental blockage or narcissism i've developed. Either that or its just that I cant think of anyone after 1977 worth listening to.

I know it's a terrible attitude.

I'll try and give him a listen.

Well well well mr Straycat.

Am i plesantly suprised. I clicked a link with my usuall negative exectation of another srv, page, clap, hendrix sound alike (the real reason i hate most modern music) to be serenaded with sounds akin to John Mclaughlin.

Cheers mate theres downloads somewhere on that webpage i linked.

Hi straycat: Matt schofield is a cool one to look out for. Blues guitar with some slightly jazzy voicings. Nice. I have his album Ear To The Ground. Not revolutionary, but a fine listen - good for a long drive.

Keep an eye on that boy. I think he has more to deliver.

Do all you British practice 'self-loathing' all the time?

Hendrixfan, have you not noticed that self-deprication (not in fact the same thing as self-loathing) is our national sport? We claim (rightly or wrongly) to have invented a large number of the world's sports - and then got beaten by everyone else at them.

So we've decided that NOBODY is going to out do us at self-deprication. We own that one.

Though personally I'm not very good at it.

It'll do the job. Been doing for Fender's for over

Cheers.

The best case I ever got from Fender had my Gilmour wrapped in it, but it still does not approach the cases that G&G does for PRS.

Those are heavy, beautifully lined, form fitting, and fitted with heavy duty hardware. Every Custom Shop guitar should be supplied with such a case. Stop by a vendor and have a look a PRS case.

You can order such a case from G&G for a Fender guitar. Last quote I got, several years ago, was around $200.

About 10-12 years ago Fender had SKB doing a really nice, form fitted case for the 'Plus series guitars. I keep my '89 Clapton in that one. The current design is nice, but not as classy as the other.

Time for Fender to get with the program for the high end guitars.

In that capacity they also function as mother-in-laws. This.....can be cause for concern. I knew one whom I labeled Die Uberalleskommandat.

There are also those who are a joy beyond compare. Women of valor...beyond the price of rubies. Such was my wife's mother.
