How many of you bought one of these without getting it with your axe and what are your thoughts?

I got one but I think I need a case for the case if you know what I mean?
I've yet to test it in the wonderful Belfast rain and I don't really want to.

Are they protective?

They certainly look good but do they do their job?

For a hundred and thirty quid I #$@*&!% hope so!!

I bought mine to hold a home-brew guitar. It is lovely, very protective, and nothing else would really feel right for such a fine instrument.

It's heavy. But I trust it to protect the guitar more than I would the molded plastic type. Maybe I wrong, but that's how it feels.

Hello Celtic Cyclonus,

It'll do the job.
Been doing for Fender's for over
half a century.

I've seen em in pretty rough shape.
They are good cases.

Cheers.

Cool, don't get me wrong, I LOVE it! Just worried bout the rain etc.

I got the black with blue plush interior to hold my 72 Tele Custom RI (black with maple) if you can imagine that?

I was playing a gig on a 'blues cruise' one night and it started pouring. I put my Strat in my black G&G case and covered it with heavy plastic. The guitar stayed bone dry and the case held up well.

I seem to like Gator Cases by proof that I have several.

Celtic do not bother with that overpriced G&G rubbish. I use these to transport any of my guitars.

Available here for the princely sum of £45

I've taken guitars all over the world in them and seen baggage handlers throw it off the plane onto the tarmac. Their rocksolid, airtight and waterproof. In other words fully flight spec'd if you buy some heat protective lining. Or ofcourse kept the funny white bag that some guitars come in.

Yeah I'm ok. Bands struggling a bit, unreliability and personal stuff from a few people, but alls good their.
Works slowly picking up this side of the river, hows it going over your way?

BTW i'm not joking. Even SKB cases dont get a look in with me now.

Well, you certainly seem like the upbeat, energetic type.

Do all you British practice 'self-loathing' all the time?

Nope, it comes from my NY grandmother. lol

It's not self loathing to be drunk on a Friday n' listenin to some Stradlin! I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Have some sympathy for Niki too, toothache is worse than a hole in the d**k.
