Beer drinkers, get ready to shell out more for a Bud: Anheuser-Busch InBev is boosting the price of its brews.
The increases will occur later this year and will cover "different price tiers," the company told The Wall Street Journal late Tuesday.
"We do plan on taking prices up in the fall on the majority of our volume in the majority of the U.S.," Dave Peacock, president of Anheuser-Busch InBev's U.S. division, told the paper. "The environment is very favorable, we think."
Rival MillerCoors also plans price increases. "We have seen very strong pricing to date this year, and we are projecting a favorable pricing environment moving forward," Brad Schwartz, the vice president of revenue management and sales development at MillerCoors, told the Journal. MillerCoors is a joint venture of Molson Coors and SABMilller .

That won't be much of a problem to me either. I'm not what I used to be!

Bud is the worst beer ever anyway. That won't bother me. I used to drink Miller and Coors for a while. It's just regular american beer-water.

I wonder if there's going to be as much bitchin' and whining on the Budweiser forums as there was here when Fender raised their prices? If they have a forum.

Hate to tell you this but they are all owned by Anheuser-Busch.

I don't live all that far from Pottsville, Pa.
Black and Tan, can't beat it with a stick.

Sorry, I thought I had read somewhere that Anheuser-Bush had bought Yuengling. Glad to know I was wrong about that. :D

They raised the price of cigarretts (glad I quit when I did) so no one can afford them and now they raise the price on beer. Watch out people red meat is next, then sodas, then potato chips. If you like it, it will be overpriced before too long.

today, tuesday sept.1st, taxes on alcohol, candy and soft drinks go up 100% to 125% in Chicago so here is a partial list of controls now in process in the USA:
how much alcohol one is allowed to consume
how many cans or bottles of pop one is allowed to consume
how much candy one is allowed to consume
how much water one is allowed to use ie length of showers, how many times you can flush, whether or not you can water your lawn or wash your car etc.
when to turn on lights or electrical appliances and for how long
this list could go on for pages, at least as long as the list of new taxes is, which is about one page small type top to bottom all brought to you courtesy of the government officials some of whom were elected and the others appointed by them, socialism has never worked period, and mind control ie the majority of our schools don't teach our students making sure that they are at least as uneducated when they graduate as they were when they start school is horrible, behavior control ie limits on everything has'nt worked either I'm really worried that at least some of the independents that are pleading with the american people to pay attention to what is really going on ( global warming and 'The New World Order' was the first volley, demonizing anyone who questions anything being done by this new administration was the illegal low blow to take away freedom of speech and abolish the constitution) are going to start disappearing or change to the new lib dem way. Comrades as the ruskies said when Reagan was pres " we are in big trouble" never mind children or grandchildren no one will be allowed to have any without permission from the government and if you think I'm not telling it like it is listen for the next time one of the politicians say how they need to make these decisions because the people are'nt capable of making decisions for themselves ( with the schools doing their utmost to turn out drones, in the not too distant future that may become true) that statement by some of the politicians that I've seen on the sunday morning news shows scared the hell out of me. Hang on to your guitars Brothers and Sisters this government administration will be coming for them, after all the government knows who should or should'nt own an instrument I think they call that a level playing field.
