Okay ... I just wanted to know where the "murderer" comment came from. There is no question he was drunk and doing her. There is also no question he was thinking about his bid for the presidency when that happened. If he did let her die because he did not want to get the officials and be "caught". then I see how someone can make a logical argument for murder.

Police divers found her body in and air pocket in the back seat of the car and it is thought the she lived for as much as two hours before sufficating. So much for him going diving for her. He was married at the time as well as the 5 other men at the party and none of the six girls were married. There was no autopsy perform on Mary Jo as well. Big Money changed hands.
The father Joe Kennedy wanted Joe Jr. to become President but after he got killed he decided to get John Kennedy elected so Joe set out and bought and used his influence on everyone he could including the mob to get him elected. Joe Kennedy wanted the Family name to be respected as royalty.
The family has continued to buy there way out of trouble and use the name as a source of power but they follow the rule of you do as I say but I don't have to.

Judgement's beyond us, folks.

And Shakespeare was a philosopher, not only a master of the language and in knowledge of the human psyche.

Perhaps 'tis best we each use the lessons of those who pass before us to refine our own life-paths.

cvilleira,

If they would of done an autopsy on Mary Jo, what would have the autopsy revealed? I thought autopsy was mandatory to find the cause of death and time of death. Would the result of the autopsy incriminate Ted Kennedy?

We will never know? The medical examiner signed a death certificate that said she drown with out an autopsy. Before Ted had reported the incident the car had already been found and traced to him then he reported it to police. The diver who went into the car said that she was in a air bubble where he beleived she could have lived for up to two hours before the oxygen ran out. Kennedy was only charged with leaving the scene and was sentnce to two months suspended.
Teddy got away with Murder just like the cousin got away with the Martha Moxley murder all those years and the the Patty Baldwin rape by William Kennedy Smith this family of privilege has been buying there way out of things for a long time. And the fools of Massachusetts just keep putting in office. This Family don't know what middle class is they have never lived it. How much do you think Teddy 's estate taxes are? Not much because of tax shelter. Reseach Joe and the mob all there Women on the side and drug use and alcohol abuse in the family. Model Americans I hope not!!!!

Farewell, Mr. Kennedy...

I think his good deeds outweigh the bad...

Besides, disrespecting the dead is bad karma...

Disrespecting the dead is bad Karma?

Personally, cannot get used to "desrespect" being used as a verb.

To acknowledge with horror and disgust, in the cold light of history with rational thinking, what hideous monsters in human form, Tamerlane, Hitler, Stalin, Son Of Sam, the Japanese at the Bataan Death March, Richard Speck...

...did of their own free will, chose to perpetrate upon humanity...

...is to identify, to empathize with those brother and sister humans, who had needless suffering imposed on them by rabid members of their own species.

Sorry I follow the rules of grammar...

And let me just throw this out there... (since no one knows what the true story was...)

Did anyone see the film "Blow Out"?...

Just maybe, he wasn't supposed to make it out of the car. And just maybe, someone thought the assassination of his brothers was too messy and drew too much attention. So an "accident" was staged. Even though it didn't cause his death, it caused the death of his presidential hopes.

Crazy? Maybe... but not as crazy as some of the disinformation people cut and paste from the conservative web sites. And as for "...brother and sister humans, who had needless suffering imposed on them by rabid members of their own species...", the Kennedy family sure had their share of that.

At least his family never invited the Taliban to America to talk business...

depending on who you are asking i suppose. BOTH sides are doing their fair share of misinformation on this topic. I dont doubt there was the potential plan for him to not make it out of the car, but my feeling is he saved himself first and foremost without hesitation and didn't lose sleep of the death that occured. After all, it was one of his favorite running jokes and this was well known by those around him.

Here we have a simple, well-intended RIP turned into an annoying political discussion. Don't go there, folks. Locking.
