Just go out there, relax, and have some fun.

Recently a harmonica player that I jam with, asked me to join him and a couple of other guys to play at a party. He owns a business, and he wanted to throw a party for his employees, as a thank you.

We went there and jammed for free, and the people loves us. All of us (as well as the employees) had fun. We even sounded half way decent.

Think of it this way.........they don't have to pay to come listen.....so they have no grounds to complain. And.......they just might like it!

any Ideas? 8)

Get a hold of the September issue of Premier Guitar magazine, and read the last page as a fast primer. Then read the entire issue.

That oughta get you jumped started on bass. 8)

Doc

Playing bass, work with the drummer, even though it's just a jam, try to work together on kicks and stuff and yeah, have fun!

Jonesy let us know how it went.

A guy on another forum i go to posted this, little late for you but:

A BASS PLAYER’S 23RD PSALM
The Lord is my drummer, I shall not rush,
He maketh me to layout in tasteful places,
He leadeth me beside cool meter changes,
He restoreth my “one.”
Yeah, man, though I read through the trickiest of charts,
I will fear no train wrecks,
For You are with it.
Your ride and Your snare they comfort me,
You setteth up a solo for me
In the presence of mine guitarists,
You anointeth my lines with drive,
My groove overfloweth.
Surely good feel and swing will follow me
through all the tunes of each set,
And I will dwell in the pocket the whole gig long.

Hey guys! Sorry I couldnt reply Ive been away from the computer the last couple days. To let you guys in, It went great! Performed many more acts than I expected, The Blues Were solid. Me and the guitar player had some time the night before to kinda go over some ideas we had, etc. It was great on the stage 8)

Being one of My first times improvising on stage, I though I did great, didnt miss a beat :D As for that, Others went up, and I was asked to Cover a few Zeppelin Songs aswell, which was well...Awesome

It was alot of fun, some very talented people there as well, Thanks for the help too guys, I was definitely Thinking About some of the things you brought up, Hopefully there will be many more times like these to come.

Once again, sorry for the late reply, And Thnaks again Everyone!
