You need a 3rd option :

Both have their merits.

Welcome!

I prefer a Stratocaster as it is more comfortable, more versatile, more ergonomic; certainly 'snazzier' looking than a Telecaster and (see below)...

Tele is a simple guitar and is a solid classic style that outdoes many other guitars.
The Strat is the icon of electric guitars but has been copied and downgraded by other companies.

I choose the Tele because of it originality and simplicity.

Like we haven't seen this one before.

Any useful questions? ;)

Just kidding.

For me, it is Stratocaster all the way. And it's not because Hendrix is my favorite guitarist.

Telecasters are quite good though, especially ones that don't suck.

I prefer a strat but that doesn't mean I don't love my Tele and Jazzmaster. No Fender hating allowed. (Except for Antiqua guitars, LOL.)

Tele for me all the way!! :P

I don't know--there's just something about them that appeals to me more than a Strat. :D

I would love a Strat but cant play them simply because of the position of the volume knob. I would mod one but til then I'm a Tele player.

Its a bit like askin what would you rather have: A Lamborghini or a Ferrari? BOTH ffs.
