So, do you guys think that the TV Bassman will come in as a guitar amp as well, like its larger brother, the '59 Bassman?

If it is the same circuitry, then it should be entirely possible.

Nope, the circuitry is the key. That's why Jim Marshall ran with it and created an amplifier dynasty. My 65 that I use for guitar has 2-12's and does the classic Fender sounds and then some.. YMMV. 8) Mike

Cherokee your absolutely correct mate, my brain must have had a temporary seize up. The original bassman was all circuitry thats why its the basis for nearly all modern amplification.

Actually, I had wondered whether you could use this just as acceptably for guitar like the orginials...

probably not this time, unless you don't mind huge headroom and keeping the volume on 1.5. if i read correctly, the TV's start at 150 watts tube
