Hi guys,

Many years ago i, stupidly  , decided to respray my sunburst squier strat in british racing green and fitted a mint green pickguard, as seen here.

Pretty bad, i know.

My question is, as i want to ratain the mint pickguard, what colour do you think I should respray the guitar? I am quite liking the idea of vintage white/cream but need some suggestions.

Please help me!!!!

How about a Seafoam Green with either a pearlized or candy apple luster to it? You would be the first one on the block with either of those.

Good luck,

This is not a very original idea, but I like surf green with the mint green pick guard. For something really different maybe a bright lime green.

If you could restore the sunburst I would say that, But I think That would be pretty tough, If not, Impossible to get really nice finish out of it. :(

Here's an interesting website with the Fender Vintage colors, which are pretty nice http://www.fender.com/resources/colors/
and the current Fender colors
http://www.fender.com/resources/colors/
You should be able to find something nice; also keep in mind whether you have a maple or rosewood neck; that would change the total effect.
