Ya know, on the surface this may seem like a simple question. But, it's not, is it? What I'm using now depends on the guitar. For my old 1970 Telecaster I found an old school vintage style strap made by Levy's. You know, the skinny leather strap with the shoulder pad. On my SG I use a woven strap also made by Levy's. It's black with an embroidered skull on it. On my Strat I have a Joe Satch strap. The red one with the screaming face on it. On my Ibanez Bass, I have a fat leather/suede strap made by Franklin. It's sort of 70's looking. On my Martin I don't use a strap because I only use it for recording.

I see they have a lot of Beatle straps. They look nice, but they're too expensive for me right now.

I like the Fender woven straps the best. I have some others, but the Fenders are 'broken in' so to speak.

I'm using a black Couch strap on my Tele. It's made from seat belt strap material...very comfortable and durable. Best strap I've ever owned. It's 100% vegan also, if that's important to you.

I have 2 Levy's 2 1/2 inch leather straps, one for each guitar. These are the most comfortable straps I have used.

2006 Squier Cherry Sunburst Stratocaster with an Eyelandenterprises Sedona Guitar Strap - butter soft.

I use Dunlop Guitar Strap locks with this strap, and have them installed on all of my electrics, so I can use my favorite strap with any of them.

I also have various Fender straps and some others. The Sedona was given to me as a birthday present by my daughter a couple of years ago.

I have a strap for each guitar, (other than my classical), adjusted for that guitar--as the strap knobs are in different places on different guitars--and they're different sizes & shapes. I prefer leather straps, but most of them these days are thick--I like leather that is pliable and not too thick--it molds to my shoulder and is very comfortable--but they are tough to find anymore.

The exception to the leather strap is the woven one I use for my bass. I used it on my first electric, but the strap wouldn't stay where I had adjusted it--it kept slipping--but I discovered that at full length it works great for my bass--so that's what I use it for.

The last time I bought a strap I spent some extra and got a suede one. I think when my current straps need replacing-(worn out, lost)-I will buying more suede ones--very pliable and very comfortable.

It's only $10 more expensive than a nylon strap, but it's way more comfortable. I can play for hours and it doesn't kill my shoulder, even with my Les Paul. From now on I'm only buying wide leather straps. I like waking up the day after a gig shoulder pain free. 8)
