i've had access to this for a while but have never got round to anything other than pinching wallpapers :P

Some of you may know me from the Jackson Charvel Forums, though I haven't been on there a while due to other commitments and not owning any charvels anymore...

i've been playing 5 years or so, dabbled in a few bands but nothing majorly serious other than 15 or so gigs in the last couple of years - though I have just recently passed my RGT grade 8 electric guitar and ABRSM grad 6 music theory if that counts for anything...

My main guitar for the last few years has been an 06/07 american strat, which i've always found made me more creative than a stock metal guitar. I have played around with some dimarzios in the neck and bridge (heavy blues/pro 54) but am sort of with the stock singlecoils atm, as i've always like the 2nd position on the selector and i like the clean but crunchy rythm sound. I also used to have a MIM tele (why do they play so much nicer than the american ones!?) which i regret selling!!

My style is more in rock/80s/blues/ pop and i like using more extended chords and getting creative with that jazzy kinda making melodies within chord melodies sometimes but within those context as opposed to straight jazz which doesn't really interest me. I guess my main influences are andy summers, bryan adams/keith scott, jake e lee and joey allen from warrant and I used to have quite a big george lynch thing up until recently

Cheer and looking forward to finding my way around here,

Alex

a band I had for a brief period. the name comes from an ancient persian word for the divinity of the air and the wind or something - the lyrics were kinda spiritual stuff so it fitted with that sorta....my main problem with bands though has been finding people who can a) actually drum properly, and b) sing...

Howdy

Yeah, if you can find a solid drummer, and a truly skilled bass player, treat em like gold.
