I'm a little confused about the date of my guitar. I bought it from a guy in NC yesterday. He says he bought it new in 2005. The serial number is Q071443, crafted in Japan. According to the "product dating" page my guitar was made in 1993-1994. Is there a misprint on the web page? It says "Crafted in Japan." There's no Q+6 digits listed with the "Crafted In Japan" guitars. Actually, there's no mention of any guitars even being made after 2005. Can someone help me? Did the guy really buy it new in 2005, or is it a 1993-1994 model?

Six digits might be someone trying to pull a fast one.
Q + 6 digits 1993-1994

I think you need to pull the neck, and look at the date stamps.
