Given that we all have busy schedules, how much time do you dedicate to playing or practicing.

I'm getting about 30 to 45 minutes a day, mostly at night of quality practice time.

Unfortunately, I have Custom Shop quality instruments and factory assembly line chops. I need to rehearse much more than I do. I'd like to rehearse one hour per night each on bass and guitar. But that rarely happens. Seems I'm spending more time these days chasing gigs, updating the band's website, sequencing backtracks, arranging rehearsals and other non-playing musical activities. Makes me crazy when I go a few days without playing.

I like to practice 30 minutes per day, and record each session. After getting in the work I spend as much time as I can playing songs and learning new songs.

I try to spend a minimum of 60 minutes a day, it usually turns out to be 2 hours.

I'm in exams right now so only get to practice about 1 hour a day, usually it's more like 2 or 3.

I need to regiment my time a bit more, I tend to go off on a tangent and start to noodle. I'm having fun and working on muscle memory, but I need to apply more time to specific areas.

Yeah I break mine up into about 30 mins running through scales and modes, 15-20 mins practicing a new technique (this hasn't happened recently due to exams), 15-20 mins practicing sight reading (this has also happened less during exams), 30 mins jamming to drum tracks and then another 20 mins or so learning a song or working a song out by ear.

I pretty much practice every minute i get.
I just enjoy playing rather than practicing to get better, and i think that's the key.

I try to practice every day. If I can I'll play for 2 or 3 hours but sometimes its just 5 or 10 minutes.

Work commitments mean that I can go weeks without playing. When I do play (on my own) I try to do at least an hour. When I hook up with my friends we can do up to eight or nine hours.

I warm up about 15 minutes, then start playing/recording for about an hour or longer each day, as time allows. We do have to work.

I wouldn't call it practice, but I play about 2 hours a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
