Are you kidding, they take enough flack over guitar stuff, if I were them I wouldn't come near here.

'What!?!?!? I refuse to buy the new Nocaster, because the design mock up was done on a PC!!!!!'

"The new 'artist of the month' guitar is crap, since all the promotional material was designed on a mac!!!"

MACS are better when you are doing editing and anything professional: ads, editing etc...

macs rarely get viruses.

pcs i like because alot of programs are based on the pc platform and all thta jazz.
downside is more prone to virus and trojans etc..

macs are way overpriced and if it wasnt for my school discount at the time, i wouldn't get one.

what i love about pcs is the fact that you can swap hardware like no other.

i use both mac for ads and editing

pc for games and other business use.

PC for me, there's no way I'll pay that amount of cash for something shiny and white, I'm going for performance over design

And the price difference cannot be satisfied, here in DK, you'll get as much performance for a third of the cost

And guys, it's not impossible to boot MAC on a windows pc

Be reasonable, there's no way one will be better for multimedia applications than the other, it depends on the software and power of the machine

Neither iTunes or WMP are that good audio programs, hook your computer to a stereo and you'll hear what I mean

Vote for it then.

He doesn't have what I learned on -- a DEC PDP-8 with a teletype and a whopping 8K (yep, 8K) of RAM for the entire system, including the OS and user program and data area. For that matter, the first 4 computers I owned weren't PCs or Macs ... neither had been invented yet. And the first two generations of microcomputers I used at work weren't PCs or Macs either.

When I think about the Pro Tools package I just got and then remember the crude "music" I was experimenting with on early microcomputers, we've come a long way. Back in my pre-PC days, you had to write a program to get music out of your computer (such as it was). Now, I can do a couple mouse clicks and add a whole symphony orchestra to my bass line. Amazing!

But I vote for pencil and paper -- still use it -- works like a charm when some idiot knocks down a power line on payday, the computers fail but the staff still wants their paychecks, on time and right :D

I was a little late for the poll... but, if anyone cares I use a PC running Vista 64. In fact, there are 6 Windows machines in my house. I had a Mac Mini which had Garage Band on it, but didn't have enough power to actually run it well. I kept it for a year, although Apple made it obsolete in 6 months. I finally sold it and bought a microphone.

I run Sonar for my music and, so far I've been satisfied with it.

If Apple really wanted to rule the computer world, they could sell OSX for PC. I'd give it a try. I'm sure after a few years that could finally be the nail in Window's coffin. Believe me, I'm sure someone over there thought about it. But, it will never happen because Apple is a hardware company. The debate about which one's better has raged on for years. I do like Apple's Mac vs PC commercials, though. Pretty funny. But only half true. My box can do anything a Mac can do...

When I had the Mini I lost count of the times the "beach ball" spun for hours on end...

A friend of mine has a print shop, and he has a beautiful 24 inch screen iMac. He also spent over 3,500 for it including a memory upgrade and the software upgrades he needed for his business. Too rich for my blood.
