LOL……When I saw the title of this thread I thought to myself……Ahhhh crap, here we go again.

Once I actually read the post I thought…..Ahhhhh crap, here we go again…

It’s amazing to me that you can take a Low Life criminal and put him into a job making huge money….Now that I am done talking about politicians and big business CEO’s it would seem the football world is right in tow as well…Aint America great (at least for criminals) honest hard working people just seem to be F’ed.

The corruption has gotten so bad that I don’t even watch the news anymore; aint seen it in forever and have very little idea of what is going on in the world today and that is fine because it is all slanted lies and brainwashing anyhow. Why the mainstream media would give a piece of trash, waste of oxygen like Vick any airtime at all further demonstrates my point to a T….Guess I’m gonna’ quit watching sports as well…and that’s ok , I’ll just spend more time playing my Guitar……..it just baffles me because the guy was not really that good of a player the first time around.
Well said! Your right, he never lived up to the hype.

He did his time end of story. If you want to know what this is really all about keep reading if not skip this as I dont condone this but I have been there .The first time I saw a pitbull was 1981 which a good friend of mine owned. Now in Bklyn NY at this point in time this was not a common thing. My friend Joe Pit was 13 years older than me and won the Silver Star in NAM. We were both heavy into boxing and would always be in the gym. He used to breed pits and had then tattood all over him. He used to tell me about the dog fights and spent a lot of time going down south where this was going on for over a hundred years and was very popular. Guys had family trees of there dogs going back generations and there were books with the greatest dogs of all time. This was just really starting in the North and one night he invited me to a series of matches. We went to a basement in Brooklyn and I will admit these guys were very serious about what they were doing. They put together a pit with plywood and astro turf in a basement they had guys there to stitch up the dogs and give them shots as they could not take them to a vet. The object was not for the dog to die. There were two lines drawn about 8 feet apart each owner and his dog would go into the pit and once the dogs locked eyes they would have to be held back as they went nuts. The dogs were matched according to weight like a fighter,on the count of 3 they let them go and these dogs would rip each other up while money was being bet all over the place. This went on until one dog turned away which was called a scratch. When this happened they broke the dogs apart and brought them back behind the scratch line and counted to ten .If the dog who turned when let go ran back at the other dog it continued if he did not it was over and the dogs medicaly tended to. I was 19 and I went on two ocassions. At the time I was intrigued by it and I am not a bullsh!tter so if anyone thinks Iwent more than I said or I loved it you are wrong. Did I think it was as barbaric then as I do think it is wrong now -NO But they gave me a puppy who I named Duran after my Idol in boxing and I could never think of putting him in there and this dog was the worst guard dog in the world but if he saw another dog he went nuts it is in there genes. Also all the cross breeding with Dobermans and Rotweilers ruined these dogs as they were not man biters. I did not like what Vick did with killing the dogs but I believe everyone deserves a second chance as I believe he did his time and now let him move on. We all have things we have done that we wish we did not. We can laugh about a lot of our favorite bands making young girls do all kinds of demoralizing things to hang with the band that most of the population would not think was so funny,or a drug story where someone could of just dropped someone off in front of an emergency room instead of bailing. I have seen a lot in my life so I am not one quick to condem. Does anyone have a shark story.lol

Just because something has gone on for years doesn't make it right. Take slavery for instance, it went on for hundreds of years and it certainly wasn't right. And did you know that many slave owners had "family trees" on their slaves as well. I'm all for someone doing their time and getting a second chance, my problem with Vick is that he's a punk with a bad attitude who never lived up to the hype. Sure, he had his good day's but he was never a great quarterback. And despite what everyone say's he is a role model for kids, and a bad one at that. I know that parents are supposed to be the role models in their kids live, but all too often, parents today are more concerned with their own lives, to be a good role model for their kids. So naturally the child looks to TV, Music, and Sport stars to be their role models. Michael Vick isn't sorry for what he did, he's only sorry he got caught. He's a punk. I'll use the Les Paul! lol!

To answer your question. A Les Paul is heavier, but the necks are more fragile on set neck guitars. You might only get a swing or two. A better choice would be one of the boat anchor Strats from the late 70's early 80's. They are virtually indestructible and you would get a lot more swings out of it.

On another note, Pete was banned from baseball for life for gambling on a baseball game. So why is Vic still in football? He's a huge A Hole anyway. I can't stand football anyway. I think the game itself is stupid and the players way overpaid. I think hitting a small round object coming at you at 80 mph with a stick requires more skill.

I agree 100% It's hard to believe he's still banned from baseball and all these thugs and drug addicts can still play. So the message in sports is: Do all the drugs, kill all the people you want, just don't bet on it!
