Oh, and my dream concert would be:

Pink Floyd
The Who
Jimi Hendrix
The Sex Pistols
The Clash
and of course Queen would close the show.

You're definitely making me feel like an old fogey, but I saw Queen three times in all: 1980 (Hot Space), 1982 (The Game) and 1986 (A Kind of Magic). They put on an incredible show every time! 8)

To be able to see one of THE greatest rock bands of all time THREE times....? Priceless.
Absolutely and indefinitely priceless. :D :D :D :D

How close were you to the stage for each show? :P

The 1980 and 1982 shows were in Houston, and I was very close both times -- within the first 10 rows on the floor, pretty much dead center. The 1986 show was a massive outdoor concert in Berlin, and I was much farther back.

Sounds like you're about the same age I was when I really got into Queen. My first Queen album was News of the World, which came out when I was in 8th grade. I was hooked.

By the way, check out the album Tastes Like Sugar by a group called Sugarbomb. They broke up years ago, but they were heavily influenced by Queen. You might like it.

OHMYGOD.
You could've been showered by Freddie's spittle if he got close enough!!!!

Ahaha, yeah, I had just turned nine years old(we were in Las Vegas at the time a'cause Dad had a business conference then. :P((and when I say "we", I mean me and my fraternal twin sister, Abby. :P))) when I saw the advertisement for the "We Will Rock You" musical on the jumbotron that's on the big blue hot air balloon statue-thing (we were staying at the Paris). Fittingly, "We Will Rock You" was the song of choice for the advertisement, and as soon as I heard the first "*Stomp, stomp, clap!!!!*", I knew I had just discovered something remarkable. :D
Next thing I knew, for our birthday party we had back at home with our friends, a mom of one of our friend's gave me "Queen: Greatest Hits" for a gift. Needless to say, I was /COMPLETELY/ enthralled and ecstatic!!!! :P I popped that bad boy in the stereo as soon as my shaking fingers could unwrap the plastic.

Now, I'm 13, and we actually turned 13 in Las Vegas, thanks to another business conference Dad went to. I got to re-visit the blue hot air balloon statue-thing outside of the Paris, and I got my picture taken with me touching the base of it. 8) I was /SO/ happy. 8D
I also bought a Queen t-shirt while we were there, but unfortunately, I lost it at one of our very first swim meets this year when our swim season was starting up this summer....
Ah, well.
I just need to learn to be more careful and responsible and to let these things go.

And "News of the World" is my favorite Queen album!!!! :P "It's Late" is TRULY a work of genius. :D

Impossible but it would be cool = Time machine to Woodstock.

Possible = Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Robert Cray, and reunion performances by Pink Floyd and the remaining members of The Who.
