The one and only Mark Knopfler, if it wasn't for him I probarly wouldn't start playing guitar!
And the first concert I went to was a Mark Knopfler concert!!


Happy birthday Mark, can't wait for the new album and tour, hopefully you will be playing Bergen this time too.

He's playing six nights (so far) at the Albert Hall next May. I have tickets very near the front! I seem to remember there's a show or two much sooner, as well...

Mark Knopfler is the man, the rare rock guitarist who draws on strong influences that pre-date blues/rock. As Elvis Costello is to songwriting, MK is to electric guitar: an elegant throwback to high class and style. Happy Birthday to him!
