Just cleaned and re-strung my MIM HSS Strat, (my beautiful, beautiful Strat) and noticed play in my tuner posts - about 1/32". Obviously when there is string tension on them there is no play but I just wondered about this. I have very minor staying in tune problems but thought I'd toss this out there. Oh, it's an 07 in pristine condition.

Thoughts?

I presume you mean a little, "wiggle" without a string wrapped around it. This is normal because if you had absolutely no play, by necessity, the post would then have to be immobile and consequently, wouldn't be able to turn either. No worries!

Yeah, thanks. Sorta what I figured. Just wasn't sure what the tolerances were.
