I alternate between my MIM Strat and my MIA Tele, which are the only two electrics that I own. I agree that you can get by just fine without having a whole boatload of guitars at your disposal. Still, it's nice to have at least one back up in case you have any maintenance problems (or if you're playing a gig and break a string).

I usually alternate through my electrics fairly evenly, and my acoustics & bass get a chance here there.

But each of the electrics tends to have a time where it dominates, but then another one takes its turn.

SO overall it's still fairly even.

Most of the time I use my Jag-Stang for chording and around the house jamming while switching over to my Strat for practice, finger excercises, and recording. For about 2 weeks I started playing my '99 Powerhouse Strat for most everything, but fell back into my old ways again recently. I just love the feel of the Jag-Stang's neck, but the frets aren't the best for complicated runs nor does the guitar sustain very well. I will also start using her for recording when I finally get around to putting in some decent shielding.

'Recently got a real music room; youngest daughter moved out and her bedroom was appropriated. 'Put up some lite Tiki decour and hooks and a sofa and Soundseat...

...and am having a fine, fine time going from one member of the harem to the next, often 3 different instruments per day.

But as 'have been keeping score of this for the past couple years, the Mosrite Mk I gets played about 2X as much as the nearest competetior, for which a few are virtually tied.

Tied-ish for 2nd, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Strat, SG, Washburn classical.

Currently in the lead is my Fender CG-24SCE classical, as it is the only one of my six that is not in pieces all over the house, in the middle of various projects! :D
