The Movie is great too.

Fabulous is an understatement!!!

Talk about influential and un-sung.

Huge fan here - the music and the movie!

Rhythm Doctors - Malpractice

I don't know much about them, but they're bluesy.

Skip James - Hard Time Killin' Floor Blues

I find myself going further and further back in time for influence...which is funny because I record with a laptop and use all kinds of crazy loops and more software synths than you can shake a stick at.

a fine example of what I've been doing as of late...modern/retro. Led Zeppelin meets Johnny Cash on the way to Mars.

"Dawn Patrol" by the Atlantics.. Great guitar instrumental for novices to learn, especially since they also recorded a matching album that provides backing tracks for each song on the "Flight of the Surf Guitar" album, including "Dawn Patrol"...
