Obviously, you're not old enough to have heard "Stairway" 374 billion, 319 million, 115 thousand, 8 hundred and 57 times.

But I am.

I just got two SRV albums for Christmas (Couldn't Stand the Weather and Texas Flood) and bought In Step a couple of days ago. I just started listening to him...don't judge...it just took me awhile. I've been listening to Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy a lot lately as well...and the Hanson Brothers, a guilty pleasure. :P

I'm just old enough to have played it in the music store too many times! I've never refrained and I never will. I'd just tell the music store clerk to get a job in Burger King if he was tired of Stairway to Heaven.

I'm pretty much a "No Stairway Zone". I'll only listen to the song maybe once every 2 years. I refuse to play it anymore.

Almost 40 years of listening to hundreds of people butcher it, heavy radio rotation during most of the 70's, thousands of requests "Hey, can you play stairway?"...I'm just done with it. I know it's a good song and I do enjoy it when I listen to it every couple of years. It's just hard to explain to someone who didn't live thru the Stairway to Heaven mania that engulfed every guitar player in the 70's.....the song just got old. I know lots of guitar players who feel the same way.

Of course I can play Stairway (note for note perfect), and no, I won't play it for you.

Theme Time Radio Hour - the show entitled Walking.

Once again Bob Dylan and crew have selected some really fine music.
