That (bleep)ing bouzouki sound is calling again. A 12 string can do some of it, a Variax Acoustic on "Mandola" setting will take you fairly close.

'Almost bought a Fender one a few years ago, but it was flat rather than bowl-backed and made in China, not Europe. Wretched setup and it had no soul. It's out of the catalogue.
