I'm a huge fan of Joe Strummer Gratz, not too many people are aware of his work post The Clash. I picked up a DVD a few months ago, " Viva Joe Strummer, The Clash And Beyond". It's an interesting collection, and highly enjoyable 8) as well as insightful. I was fortunate to bump in to him before his untimely death, I mean bump quite literally, I was living in Somerset at the time, and was at a local market kinda thing. It was very busy, and I ended up bumping into this dude. I turned and apologized, "sorry man " I said, " No problem pal" he replied. I stopped and just kept looking at this dude, his voice still going through my mind. I ended up nearly on my knees's laughing and pointing, " You're Joe Strummer!!!!" He looked at me quite seriously, I stopped laughing instantly. I thought he was gonna deck me, he would have well within his right too (although I wasn't being nasty) But he replied " I was when I got outta bed this mornin mate" Shook my hand and went on his way. Uber cool Gratz, I kid you not man 8)

Listening to Combat Rock now 8)
