They had some heavy hitters with experience both before and after. It wasn’t their material that held them back, even amongst the British Invasion as they adapted to trends. They did well, but could have done better, IMHO They may not have wanted more fame; but, dang they could play and sing. Some of the best electric guitar arrangements that I’ve heard from that era, and pretty good production too.

As for Maynard, that cat could swing. I herd that.

I agree, Glenn. I also like that digital has reintroduced or introduced some of the missing
songs of yesteryear for we who remember the groups, or for those newly discovering them.

The most music I’ve not taken a liking to is a certain type of choral music that is so dry it reminds me of a martini, and the other is sweet champagne bubble music; but, even there I can find some interest if I really really try.

Okay, maybe not. Maybe Will Ferrell and his cowbell would help.
