Thanks for the tip, BMW2002Ti. These type of recordings are great for vinyl enthusiasts, IMHO. I intentionally collected many of them, a lot from companies like Maxell, Teac, Department Stores, Samplers from the major companies, Radio Stations, Radio Shack, and the list goes on. Most are kinda funky and held up well. While some think these kind of album(s) will fall short, very often it is the opposite. Often a good song on the album will be hard to find, maybe dropped from production in place of a lesser artist, and how many feature albums have one or two good songs? The variety doesn't hurt either. As far as quality goes that runs the gamut no matter what album you get (with audiophile records usually being the exception). Having these as an addition in your collection, doesn't stop you from buying that Tubular Bells or what have you LP? I have to say that the new releases out here are going for premium prices today, however. Records have been with us for over a century. Considering all the new digital recordings, I haven't got 100 years to wait for digital to catch up with songs (including Rock) of the past. :wink:
