I am a Brian Wilson fan, and this song came on the transistor radio that I sometimes use while working:



But, the story didn’t stop there. Chuck Berry heard the song (perhaps on a transistor radio hahahah) and he then sued them because the accusation was his song had been copied. The court agreed and today Surfin’ USA has a credit on every copy that says Wilson/Berry to which Chuck received compensation for every copy sold. This helped to pay for more Cadillacs. Here’s the song in question:
