Great looking turntable BMW2002Ti. Thanks, for posting that.

As a vinyl collector and stripped down audiophile (even great gear doesn’t last forever, unfortunately . . . lose some/get some) it’s always interesting to see what vintage gear is out there.

At one time I almost bought one of the better and famous Irish transcriptions, but I was talked out of it by the audio store’s owner who was a friend of a friend. He said he found the tone arm would not track when the associated weight/tracking string was affected by room temperature and humidity (which in this part of the world varies quite a lot).

I never did find out if that was true; but, after hearing that story elsewhere, I decided an alternate tonearm would have added cost and would have altered the look and value. I then bought a mid high end Technics Direct Drive which was just coming onto the market as Direct Drives were introduced with low capacitance wiring for CD4 surround sound records. It still works as new today, and costs more in it’s present form. Still, that Irish glass case beauty would have been nice or that crazy lookin’ Korvet! :P
Great follow up on the specs and all, Marky. Pretty cool tonearm mounting concept. :D
