PreSonus Studio One 3.5 Professional looks a lot like Ableton. Haven't used PreSonus Studio One 3.5 Professional myself. Not really qualified to comment on these two DAWs



if I was getting started and wanted:
to do studio work I would go with Pro Tools
and if you are using your DAW on stage then Ableton is pretty well spot on for that. I did try Ableton for a free month, it'easy to work with and lots of free tutorials on you tube


I've personally used:
cakewalk for DOS (pre windows)
cakewalk pro v9 first time I started recording midi with audio
windjammer
Cakewalk Sonar v6
Cool Edit pro
Adobe Audition
Cubase lite
Ableton Live (free trial)
Reason v8.3

Thank you, yellowsnakes. PreSonus Studio One 3.5 Professional looks great but is out of my price range so I'll put my efforts into Ableton. I appreciate your reply. 8)
