Smoking Joe on DVD, live from Rockpalast Germany, and Police Ruunion tour on YouTube. Bonamassa is my favorite contemporary blues rocker. I can't wait for a new live Police DVD... a must have. Sting the writer, Andy the Fenderman and Stuart Copeland. Copeland's drumming is unreal and Godlike.

Ry Cooder I, Flathead. This is a killer!

No blatant solos, mostly just monster groove ensemble playing, funky rhythm/lead textural stuff and great tone.

The coda he plays at the end of 'Steel Guitar Heaven'...how he evokes the steel sound just with straight single note playing...no slide, no bending, and it sounds amazing.

funny coincidense I'm just done listenig to Ry Cooder's: Boomer's Story album!....

8) Another good one! 8)

I have only heard the freebie clips of "Live From Nowhere" although I'm sure it rocks- What I'm waiting for is October 16th... Joe is coming for a show in Charlotte- I'll be there. I have studied some of his tabs and really like the album "Sloe Gin". To me, Joe is really in his own zip code and along with a hand full of others (like KW Shepherd) breathes new life into Blues Rock.

Joe is going to be here in Nashville on the 10th.

If you like Joe, listen to Walter Trout. Relentless would be a good place to start.

Yeah man... Trouble are you going to the Nashville show?

Joe has so much range on the instrument. I really like the Acoustic electric stuff he does (like "Ball Peen Hammer" and "Woke Up Dreaming") and some of the cover song standards (like "Just Got Paid" by ZZTop and "Another Kind of Love" by John Mayall)... Joe has that new deal with "G" but he still plays the famous Tele and this one:
