It seems like when I listen to one Led Zeppelin album, I wind up listening to them all.

My rental vehicle satellite radio subscription suddenly cut out the music stations I was listening to (probably trial). As I have satellite on my own vehicle, my local FM stations were ignored for some time. The rental FM had become my only choice for the time being, and it is like rediscovery.

Quality and separation differences are evident, and I think the FM stations' variety of compression, EQ, and encoders amongst other hardware makes FM interesting (I like a lot of it), and competitive with the one transmission size (mostly compression or maybe limiters to reduce dynamics) that appears to fit all satellite radio with merits of its own. Without knowing the gear actually enlisted, this is only my assumption based on listening tests and having satellite broadcast experience with realization that bandwidth and other costs take a toll on what is presented and received.

Satellite must have other things going for it as I have a lifetime membership to satellite broadcasts (chosen mainly because of programming choices). FM and AM here is limited in programming with either one station with a genre or too many with the same undesirable genre. Many 24/7 genres like jazz and blues (for example) are totally exempt here locally. Other locals have their programming deficiencies
