Bobby Womack - The Soul Years
Starting out as The Womack Brothers, they sang gospel in church, then became The Valentinos. Eventually Bobby struck out on a solo careeer and is responsible for scores of hits, covered by the likes of Wilson Pickett and The Rolling Stones.
Bass player Harry Womack was one of the best low end players of all time, but relatively unknown even among musicians. Anyone else a fan of these guys?
