Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I had just watched 'Jersey Boys' and spent around three hours listening to The 4 Seasons (boy have not listened to all those classics in ages. I also watched a lot of vids on Youtube of vocal groups like The Everly Brothers and the quality of talent was simply mind boggling back in the day. Brought back a lot of great memories and was the fisrt time in a really longtime I wasn't just listening to guitar based music. No matter how great a player is without well written material and melodies that catch the listeners ear it is pretty much for naught.I believe that is the problem with guitar driven music today! Too many young players are to hung up on speed and flash and the art of writing good material has become some what lost. I rarely go on Youtube and when I do I always like to read the viewer comments and found it a little mind boggling how many teenagers listen to songs 40 years old and make comments on how they wished they grew up in those era's and really don't care for todays music=go figure lol.
