Gang:

Well, I knew this day would come. Unfortunately, our Fender Lounge Forums T-shirts have shown up as a big blinking red light on our shipping warehouse's inventory radar screen today. (OK, there's not really a blinking red light nor a radar screen but the fact remains: we've reached the point where I really, really need to sell through our remaining inventory on these shirts.)

So ... in the weeks ahead I'm unfortunately no longer going to be able to offer these as an "exclusive" just available to us here in the forums -- rather, I'm going to have to add them as part of our "normal" online store product listings.

Also, there's a good chance that we may adjust pricing on them as well at some point in the near future. I extend my apologies to all of you who have already paid full price for your shirt(s) but I hope you understand my dilemma here: right now I'm looking to explore all angles just to ensure that we'll be able to pursue opportunities like this in the future.

If you've been debating buying one of these shirts, I would suggest that you go ahead and hop on one immediately because there's a third option here we're looking at, wherein the shirts are pulled entirely from active stock and are simply used as freebie handouts at promotional events.

The positive spin here is that I hope this will help us bring our big Forum T-Shirt photo contest to conclusion at some point in this decade. The prize still sits in my cube awaiting to be awarded to our lucky winner. ;-)

I'm sorry that this didn't work out as expected or hoped for. I thought that it was a great suggestion and fairly prompt follow up.

Just looked at the first post, almost a year has gone by, and the shirts look so cool too.

:(

Quick update: I've gotten approval to move a pile of these shirts out of our normal sale stock, and as part of that move I'll be draining remaining nventory on some of the available sizes. So, again, if you want one of these shirts, you'd best order it now!

Actually Mike, I wouldn't say it's quite that grim -- I knew from the outset that the amount ordered was likely far more than this group could truthfully sustain so I fully expected this day to come. And this scenario happens occasionally even with our "normal" T-shirt designs so it's not anything unique to this particular shirt! Just the realities of doin' business.

To answer your question, there are about 120 shirts currently remaining.

I must say I never would have guessed this as the outcome after all of the support we got from the start.

I wear mine with pride !!! and have taken with me all summer.

I still say thanks to Brad for making it happen, it was a very cool project to be a little part of.

I have three and will most likely get a few more here before they are gone.

I have three as well - two get worn plenty and one is held in reserve for when those fall apart. Or start selling for thousands on Ebay!

I thought the price was pretty reasonable to begin with - c'mon, Forumers: get 'em while you can!

Still, throws a cold light on other ideas, such as a Forum guitar, doesn't it? You can't judge a project in advance by all the people yelling; "I'll buy one!"

Anyway. It's been a shedload of fun, with the photo thread and everything. Thanks to blues bondsman, Brad and everyone involved.

Cheers - C

Thanks for the heads up, Brad. Not only did I order a couple more shirts, I now know I must hurry to get pictures in the mill!

Yes, and you just hit on the primary 'negative' here in my opinion -- this was a good experiment to convince me that we're not quite ready for a project like that which is unfortunate given our obvious direct tie to the mother ship here. That said, I hold out extreme hope that we'll be there some day!

Rhumba and snowy, thanks for piping in here and you've actually raised a related point -- this is absolutely the LAST CALL for anyone outside the U.S. who wants to buy one of these shirts. Once they're moved out of our normal stock I'll no longer be able to offer them internationally, unfortunately.

Just placed my order for my fourth shirt.

Now my kids won't have to share one.

Bought a set of the vintage fairy tail posters while I was in the buying mood.

Any idea how to order one without a credit card?

I really wasn't paying much attention because I don't order stuff on the internet. So let me know how to do it if you can.

Thanks,

At the very top of this thread where Mr. Traweek started is a red letter section that says "forum shirt" or something to that effect.
grab your credit card and click that red lettered spot on his post and it will guide (very safely) to purchase said shirt.

Welcome to the Club !!!
